Christening/baptism

Unfortunately during this time of Covid-19 it is taking time to see assess how we can offer basptims safely.

We normally arrange baptisms or as they are sometimes known Christenings for the first Sunday in the month. This is a Sunday when the whole church family stay in for worship together. The Baptism always takes place within the church service at 10.30.

We like to encourage people to think about not just the words in the service but the actions and what follows it as a result of Baptism. In the service we promise three key things...

1. To learn about more about the Christian Faith.
2. To pray more for ourselves and our families.
3. To be part of the worshipping church.
   • When a child is brought for baptism then promises are made to help them get used to doing these things too.
